Utilizing Anima for Figma

I’ve decided I need to substantially improve my animation skills and improve both my portfolio site and prototypes. I’ve dabbled with Anima in the past and found it far easier to utilize than other ‘straight up’ animator apps like Principle (which admittedly works in a very different way and is preferable for other issues etc.)

Anima has an impressive intro on their page; here are a few intro screens:

I’ve started watching tutorials provided by both Figma and Anima sources, as well as the usual offerings by other designers. Suffice it to say there’s a lot to digest initially. Obviously these intros are slickly done and really convey the apps power and potential. But now (as with everything else) it’s a case of hunkering down and learning the bastard. Thankfully I already have several projects I need to animate anyway, such as a responsive marketing site, so at least I can use my own work to learn the software.
